Job Description:

Working for a leading semiconductor R&D department, I am recruiting for a high-level GPU Architect to work on the latest R&D developments in Graphics Hardware Processors.

This role offers opportunities for leadership within this innovative R&D team focused on GPU Hardware.

A key selling point is the chance to work with leading experts in GPU R&D to define cutting-edge graphics products in the industry.

This is a multi-functional role, contributing to the future strategy of next-generation IP.

Salary details: Salary will be based on years and relevance of experience, circa £100k and above for highly-skilled architects.

Location & Additional Info:
  • This is a UK-based role; priority will be given to applicants with UK working rights.
  • Potential for hybrid, remote, or fully remote working from other European locations.
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support can be considered for qualified applicants willing to relocate permanently to the UK.
  • Significant experience (5-10+ years) in design and architecture of GPU IPs, Graphics Hardware Processors.
  • Strong understanding of modern 3D graphics and compute APIs such as Vulkan, D3D12, OpenCL, CUDA.
  • Experience in defining high-level GPU architecture/micro-architecture.
  • Confidence in ASIC digital design flow.
  • Experience in R&D of the latest products and features.
  • Ability to take a concept through to production, including performance review, analysis, costing, and optimization.
  • Understanding of product design & verification needs, standardization, and adherence to frameworks like UVM.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in team collaboration and development processes.

Bonus / "Nice-to-have" skills:

  • Digital Video processing, video compression, video codecs or similar fields.
  • Image signal processing.
  • Mathematics and algorithm development or implementation.
  • Strong math and algorithm skills.
  • Understanding of compiler and driver performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standards like ISO26262.
