Job summary

Barking-based Goddard Veterinary Group is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy GP practice in East London. The role offers excellent client and patient relationships, in-house X-ray facilities, and access to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital for internal referrals.

This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week, with a 1:3/1:4 Saturday rotation and on-call arrangements discussed during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations based on best practice, evidence and GVG protocols.
• Perform GP surgery within your personal competence and clinical limitations.
• Maintain, prescribe and dispense medications in accordance with current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.
• Record accurate and thorough clinical notes and ensure patient histories are comprehensive and useful to colleagues.
• Refer cases in a timely manner when further investigation or treatment is required, with access to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital for internal referral.
• Build strong and trusting relationships with clients and their pets.
• Help maintain a respectful, supportive and collaborative team environment.
