goeasy Ltd in Barking is looking for a vet to join the team on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This sole charge role includes a weekend rotation and provides opportunities for professional growth. You will collaborate closely with nursing colleagues and have access to advanced diagnostic support.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £35,100 to £52,650 with benefits like 6.6 weeks of annual leave, CPD budget, and private medical insurance.
We are barking mad for Barking (sorry for the obvious pun there!) and the team are looking for a vet to join them every Wednesday or Thursday and Friday.
On the outskirts of urban Essex, and within a 10‑minute drive of beautiful and bustling Wanstead is our first opinion GP Barking practice, where they are looking for a vet to complete the team on a 2‑day week basis. If you were looking for 4 days, we would be happy to explore “add‑on” options in the region.
This role is Wednesday or Thursday and Friday and includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Sunday rotation in Wanstead Hospital. You will be rota ‘d to 1 bank holiday per year and be included in the last resort on‑call rotation (pro rata).
This is a sole charge position, and we are looking for a vet who can confidently provide a full GP service. Having a bias in surgery and dentals would be a bonus for the branch due to its caseload! In addition to digital X‑ray, the practice is also equipped with dental X‑ray to aid in your oral cases.
You will have the full support from your nursing colleagues, regional manager and regional head vet for any additional operational and clinical support you may need.
Barking is also well supported clinically by Wanstead 24‑hour hospital that provides its surrounding branches with invaluable OOH and internal referral care.
There is state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic support at Wanstead, including CT, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site.
If commuting via public transport, the practice is a mere 6 minute walk from the Barking overground and circle line, making all other areas of London easily accessible.
The salary band for this sole charge position inclusive of a weekend rotation, averaging 23.4 hours is £35,100 to £52,650 (£60,000 to £90,000 FTE) depending on prior experience and allowing room for professional growth within the role.
In 2022, we celebrated our 70th anniversary and now have 46 branches, three hospitals and our own nurse training college. We value all of our colleagues, and our forward‑looking approach means we have introduced a Colleague Forum to listen to our peers’ views, as well as monthly Town Hall meetings with our board of directors communicating real‑time updates and taking polls with live Q&As to ensure we’re making the right, collaborative decisions for our people. All our senior managers are mental health first aid trained and we offer Wellness plans for all new starters.
