Job summary

Victoria Road Surgery in Lowestoft is seeking a salaried GP to join a GP partner-led practice. The postholder will run their own patient list, conduct consultations, manage referrals, arrange tests and imaging, and provide home visits when needed.

You will engage in clinical governance, audits, and training of registrars and staff. CCT and MRCGP are required, GMC registration is essential, and a full UK driving licence is needed.

Qualifications

• MBBS or MD and GMC registration.
• CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) required.
• MRCGP membership required.

Responsibilities

• Manage own patient list and surgery timetable, including triage and emergencies.
• Conduct consultations and manage clinical cases with referrals to secondary care.
• Order and interpret pathology and imaging results.
• Prescribe for acute and long-term conditions and sign repeats.
• Visit housebound patients and conduct care home ward rounds as needed.
• Record accurate IT-based notes and contribute to patient records.
• Participate in clinical audit, governance, and significant event analysis.
• Support partners and contribute to practice policies and development.
