Job description

Senior Governance Manager (Operational & Change Management)

A brilliant opportunity to work in the Government sector, playing a key role in Governance and Operational Change Management, supporting the organisation to shape the future of service delivery in a highly visible post.

Type of role: Permanent

Salary: From £44,709 to £53,347 per annum

Location: Edinburgh (2 days per week on-site working, the rest remote)

Senior Governance Manager (Operational & Change Management) duties:
  1. Lead Advisor on a Framework underpinning the delivery of Change;
  2. Strong Governance Awareness: Risk management & change management;
  3. Lead on performance reporting & Continuous improvement programmes;
  4. Assist in developing Corporate Templates for Business Cases, supporting the organisation with lessons learned activities on Change Initiatives;
  5. Manage and maintain the Framework and Change governance with the annual programme of activities (review of strategy and guidance, plans, testing);
  6. Manage effective team meetings, generate ideas, share knowledge, prompt discussion, improvements, and provide feedback on activities and organisational development;
  7. Produce clear, concise reports for senior managers and external stakeholders;
  8. Design and deliver tailored training solutions across the organisation to promote understanding of processes and standards for compliance;
  9. Build and maintain strong relationships across the business, including supporting operations and the Executive Change Board.
Must have:
  • A Project Management or Agile certification + proven delivery experience, OR Certification and hands-on experience in auditing compliance within change programmes;
  • Experience auditing compliance for project delivery against agile frameworks;
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and to present complex information clearly;
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities and demands.
