The Role

As a cloud-native backend engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in Golang, although prior commercial experience in it is not required. All previous hires came from different backgrounds (Java, C++, etc.), and the team is eager to train new members in Golang. Your responsibilities will include writing high-quality code from concept to production. You will report directly to a highly successful CTO who will mentor you over the coming years.

About You

As a senior backend engineer, you will:

• Love software engineering
• Want to work in Golang, or have mastery in Golang, C, C++, or Java
• Be cloud-native with expertise in major public cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Know Linux inside out
• Possibly have knowledge of Big Data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Presto, or understand their interaction with backend systems
• Have an understanding of machine learning concepts

This is a remote role.

As a senior backend engineer, you can expect to earn approximately £80,000 - £110,000 plus attractive benefits.
