The Role

As a cloud-native backend engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with Golang, although previous commercial experience in Golang is not required. All previous hires have come from other backgrounds such as Java, C++, or C, and the team is very supportive in training new team members in Golang. You will be responsible for writing high-quality code from concept to production, working in a flat organizational structure reporting directly to a successful CTO who will mentor you over the years.

About You

• You love software engineering.
• You are eager to work in Golang, or you have mastery in Golang, C, C++, or Java.
• You are cloud-native and experienced with modern cloud practices on major public cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS).
• You have a strong understanding of Linux.
• You may have knowledge of Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Presto, or at least understand their interaction with backend systems.
• You have an understanding of machine learning concepts.

This is a remote role.

As a senior backend engineer, you can expect to earn approximately £80,000 - £110,000 plus a range of impressive benefits.
