Job description
Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform helps organizations deliver on the promise of AI with complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability.

What is The Role

The Cloud Services team supports Elastic’s security needs across cloud environments. The Cloud Connectors initiative delivers a unified and secure integration layer between customer cloud accounts and the Elastic Stack, enabling the trust required for seamless data collection and actionability across our cloud security platform.

We’re seeking experienced Go engineers to design and operate the Cloud Connectors and required services for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud that make this possible. You will build solutions that are secure, scalable, and resilient, owning operations, APIs, and the reliability and observability to run it in production. You’ll join a high-impact team whose work forms the foundation for Elastic’s next generation of cloud security and serves as a shared platform for product teams across the company.

Ideal candidates bring strong Go and distributed-systems expertise, hands-on cloud identity/IAM experience, and a security-first, test-driven approach paired with a DevOps mindset in CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure as code, and on-call ownership.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Design and implement projects such as Cloud Connectors in Go that integrate Elastic workloads with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Embed security throughout the lifecycle with least privilege, secret management, threat modeling, and secure code reviews
  • Collaborate with product, security, SRE, and platform teams to shape requirements, write design docs, and drive architectural decisions
  • Participate in design reviews, architectural discussions, and roadmap planning
  • Ship with a DevOps mindset using CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure as code with Terraform, Kubernetes deployment patterns, feature flags, and progressive delivery
  • Operate what you build: instrument telemetry, create dashboards and alerts, and set SLOs
  • Ensure high quality with automated unit and integration tests and quality gates
What You Bring
  • Proficiency in Go programming language
  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
  • Experience with Git and Linux/Unix environments
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Passion for open-source software and contributing to the community
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready code
  • Good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed environment
  • The ability to work in a distributed team throughout the world
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a great teammate with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
