Job summary

IBM is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Golang infrastructure services as part of the Confluent Cloud Platform. You will work on Kubernetes operators and leverage Terraform, Datadog, Prometheus, and Linux in a public cloud setting.

You will join a team building a PaaS that enables global customers to deploy streaming applications and manage large-scale data infrastructure securely and efficiently. Collaboration across engineers and product teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive cloud infrastructure and networking experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Golang infrastructure services (Kubernetes operators).
• Work with Terraform, Datadog, Prometheus and Linux in public cloud contexts.
• Collaborate with engineers to build the Confluent Cloud PaaS product.
• Ensure availability, performance, monitoring and capacity planning for the Confluent cloud.
• Contribute to architecture and operational design decisions for the platform.
