Job summary

IBM Software seeks a Confluent Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer to design, implement and operate cloud foundation services. You will work on Kubernetes operators, Terraform, Datadog and Prometheus, focusing on high availability and scalable infrastructure within the Confluent Cloud Platform.

Experience with large-scale systems and public cloud environments is essential. You will collaborate across teams to deliver a robust PaaS product and help drive digital transformation for clients

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Golang infrastructure services (Kubernetes operators) to deliver the Confluent cloud foundations.
• Work with Terraform, Datadog, Prometheus; maintain Linux, public cloud and networking; Golang is the primary focus.
• Collaborate with the Confluent engineering team to build the PaaS product.
• Ensure availability, performance, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of the Confluent cloud.
• Contribute to architecture and operational design to optimize large-scale data systems for security and reliability.
