Job summary

InfoSum is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems powering its data collaboration platform. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, high‑performance services with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.

The role requires deep expertise in Go, distributed systems, microservices, and modern cloud architectures. A hybrid work model is offered with office presence in the UK and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Go.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with gRPC, RESTful APIs, and high‑throughput services.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Relational database design and optimization (PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming systems.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high‑performance backend services and APIs.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks under high load.
• Model, optimize, and maintain relational databases for data integrity and scalability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop automated tests and ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams; mentor junior engineers.
