Job summary

Holt Executive seeks a Senior GNC Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate and verify advanced Guidance, Navigation and Control systems for space missions. You will shape subsystem architectures and deliver solutions from design through verification and on-orbit operations.

The role involves integrating GNC algorithms with hardware, planning verification activities, and collaborating across teams to ensure performance and mission success. Hybrid working and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in a GNC engineering role.
• Proficient MATLAB/Simulink experience.
• Strong understanding of GNC subsystem architecture.
• GNC requirements derivation and verification experience.
• Experience translating algorithms into flight software.
• Hands-on GNC hardware integration and testing.
• Knowledge of space mission data processing and capture systems.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the development of GNC systems, including requirements, FDIR and V&V strategies.
• Integrating GNC algorithms, computer vision and GNC hardware with the wider spacecraft platform.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure GNC performance and compatibility.
• Planning and executing GNC subsystem verification and testing.
• Leading GNC subsystem review gates and contributing to mission reviews.
• Researching emerging GNC technologies, algorithms and hardware.
• Designing subsystem-level analyses and performing technical trade-offs.
• Supporting GNC algorithm development and hardware selection for missions.
• Contributing to GNC software architecture and flight software solutions.
• Working with customers and suppliers to define requirements and develop solutions.
