Job summary

BBVA seeks a Senior Risk Project Manager to join the Global Markets Risk Unit. Lead cross-functional risk initiatives across valuation, market risk, counterparty risk, AVAs and XVAs, defining scope and governance, coordinating resources with risk teams and front-office partners.

The role requires at least 8 years in financial risk and a Master’s degree, FRM/CFA valued, and strong English communication with stakeholders. UK work eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field.
• FRM/CFA certifications are highly valued for this role.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary risk contact in conception, planning, design, and implementation of projects.
• Define project scope and governance to ensure success and approvals.
• Coordinate resources with risk teams, front-office, and technology.
• Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress, and escalate issues.
