The Role

Do you have a passion for shaping the future? This is a unique opportunity to explore white spaces to define the next generation of products for Tangle Teezer. With a proven track record operating at senior manager level, you'll bring strong experience in leading end-to-end product development from concept through to launch. You will be comfortable working with ambiguity to define new product spaces and the role our brand can play.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of new product development, from shaping and testing concepts to successful product launch, championing excellence at every stage. Working cross-functionally with co-manufacturers, product designers, project management, operations, sales, and marketing, your collaboration, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and passion for consumers will be crucial. This is a global role, working closely with our team in the USA.

Your experience should ideally be within a consumer goods or FMCG environment. You will work closely with senior managers and report directly to the Head of Innovation, playing a pivotal role in bringing bold ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the development of new products from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with consumer insights and business objectives.
  2. Create clear project briefs covering insight, design, pricing, packaging, value and volume metrics, cost of goods, and distribution strategies, with storytelling at the core.
  3. Lead projects through the stage-gate process, ensuring clear communication and alignment, flagging risks, and presenting at the monthly Innovation SLT meeting.
  4. Manage stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and providing regular updates on project timelines and risks.
  5. Collaborate with commercial and brand teams, sharing insights and data, and ensuring market relevance and seamless handovers.
  6. Own the P&L for your projects, ensuring resource efficiency and financial goals are met.
  7. Develop a deep understanding of consumers and industry trends to inform product development, conducting market research as needed.
  8. Bring a passion for innovation, results-driven attitude, and a long-term commercial mindset.
  9. Exhibit excellent collaboration, influencing skills, and a strategic mindset with attention to detail.
  10. Manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
