We are seeking an experienced Senior Global Engineering Director to support our teams building great products and contributing to our growth. The Sr. Director, Global Engineering at Anord Mardix will lead regional engineering teams across the UK, Ireland, Poland, and the US. This senior leadership role oversees electrical and mechanical engineers, focusing on sustaining engineering for the Flex Critical Power Business, including busway systems, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, modular power PODs, and enclosures. Responsibilities include process innovation, continuous improvement of lead times, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions for customer projects.

This is a remote opportunity, based in any country where we have a Power facility – UK, Ireland, Poland, US.

What a typical day looks like:
  1. Lead, mentor, and manage regional engineering teams to ensure alignment with global objectives and standards.

  2. Oversee sustaining engineering activities to maintain and improve existing products.

  3. Design products like busway systems, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, modular power PODs, and enclosures, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.

  4. Champion process innovation and continuous improvement to optimize workflows and reduce costs.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.

  6. Implement design review processes using tools like FMEA, PPAP, and PLM systems.

  7. Develop strategic engineering roadmaps, identifying new technologies.

  8. Establish and monitor KPIs for the engineering function.

  9. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration, supporting talent development.

  10. Engage with customers, suppliers, and industry bodies to stay informed of trends and best practices.

  11. Ensure all activities adhere to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

The experience we’re looking for:
  • MBA or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.

  • Proven experience leading global engineering teams in manufacturing or critical power solutions.

  • Strong technical background in electrical and mechanical design.

  • Success in process innovation and reducing lead times.

  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Experience with quality systems, regulatory compliance, and standards.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong project management abilities.

  • Ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
