BWB Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Manchester. In this role, you will lead geotechnical design and investigations from concept to delivery, ensuring innovative, sustainable solutions across a variety of UK projects.

We are inviting Senior Geotechnical Engineers to join our thriving Infrastructure team at BWB Consulting.

Lead and support geotechnical design and investigations from concept to delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role across a wide range of dynamic UK projects, taking ownership from desk study through to detailed design. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide expert advice to clients, and help deliver creative, sustainable geotechnical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising geotechnical investigations, including soil/rock logging, sampling and in‑situ testing.
• Producing high-quality geotechnical reporting and design solutions.
• Designing foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, and slopes.
• Using advanced geotechnical software (e.g. Plaxis 2D/3D, settlement and slope stability tools).
• Collaborating across disciplines and supporting major construction and earthworks projects.

You'll Have

• A degree in a geotechnical or related discipline.
• Experience across geotechnical investigations and design delivery.
• Knowledge of UK design codes (including EC7), standards and specifications.
• Experience working on geotechnical projects within the UK.
• Strong communication and project‑management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and geotechnical software.
• A full driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.
