Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is representing a national multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong UK presence. They are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join their established team in a remote role with UK coverage and a salary of £45,000–£55,000.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology, be Chartered (or working toward Chartership), and bring extensive geotechnical design consultancy experience, strong

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline.
• Chartered status (or working towards Chartership) with a relevant professional body.
• Extensive experience within a geotechnical design consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design and earthworks engineering.
• Experience using geotechnical design software and numerical modelling packages.
• Proven ability to manage projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience liaising directly with clients.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design projects and deliver solutions for client briefs.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop project teams.
• Prepare technical reports, present findings to clients, and liaise with project stakeholders.
