Are you a geotechnical expert who thrives on complexity, innovation and solving the problems others avoid? Want to work for a team that doesn t follow the industry but leads it?

We re on the lookout for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a highly skilled and forward-thinking internal consultancy team that supports complex, high-risk, and technically demanding ground engineering projects across the UK.

You ll be a key technical contributor in a team that s shaping policy, standards, and the next generation of geotechnical design frameworks for the wider business from pioneering new piling systems to working on iconic heritage structures, national infrastructure, and major civil projects.

What You ll Be Doing
  • Design and analysis of complex foundation solutions using ground improvement and piling techniques
  • Act as a technical lead for non-standard projects, complex conditions, and geotechnical challenges
  • Help develop design frameworks for new products, systems and national design standards (e.g. Eurocode Gen 2)
  • Drive research, innovation and continuous improvement across the geotechnical discipline
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the wider development of internal engineering capability


You ll Excel Here If You:
  • Bring deep understanding of geotechnical design first principles you're the "first one in" on a tough site
  • Have experience in foundation design, ideally with piling contractors or ground engineering consultants
  • Know your way around complex geotechnical modelling Plaxis experience is a big plus
  • Hold a relevant degree (Civil Engineering, Geology, etc.) MSc in Geotechnical Engineering highly desirable
  • Have a specialism (e.g. slope stability, retaining walls, restricted access works) we re open to unique skills
