Job Role: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Cardiff (Bristol or Exeter considered)
Opportunity: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000

I am currently working with one of the UK's fastest growing design consultancies as they look to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer into their Cardiff office. This is a relatively new office for the company and they're building a strong team of engineers who collaborate and drive progress on interesting and varied projects. This company offers a genuinely flexible approach to work, listens to colleague ideas and has added great staff initiatives through employee workshops. In addition to this approach, there is a very hands-on directorship team who will promote internally and offer support on chartership.

Key responsibilities for this Senior Geotechnical role:

1. Prepare geotechnical & structural designs for permanent and temporary works.
2. Inspection of works and building plans from it.
3. Generate Bill of Materials and produce cost estimates.
4. Attend site measurements and meetings as necessary.
5. Build long-standing relationships with clients and advise on possibilities.
6. Guide, support and mentor junior Geotechnical Engineers to success.
7. Undertake feasibility studies with the cost team.
8. Communicate clear ideas and ensure all relevant parties are updated regularly.

Key requirements for this Senior Geotechnical role:

1. Must have a BEng in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
2. Chartered Membership of ICE or working towards.
3. Good working knowledge of Geotechnical Standards and applicability to the construction and residential sectors.
4. Must have own transport and be able to travel to client sites.

Package on offer for this Senior Geotechnical Role:

1. Salary up to £48,000.
2. Flexible working 09:30 - 16:30 with early start finishes.
3. Hybrid working 3 days in the office.
4. 40 hours per week.
5. 25 days holiday (option to buy more).
