Fantastic opportunity as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at an expanding, medium-sized Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy. This role is based in Bristol.

Overview
Our client is an established and growing firm of Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Consulting Engineers whose main focus is within Buildings, Rail, Bridges, Temporary Works and Embankments & Earthworks Design. These disciplines overlap within most projects and allow them to provide a high quality, comprehensive design service for complex multidisciplinary projects and a more direct, personal service to smaller-scale projects.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be supported and supervised by the Directors and Principal Engineers within the office and work in close conjunction with the other offices. Ideally, you’ll be keen to diversify and encompass the scope of the project remits which cover domestic and commercial structures, rail, bridge and temporary works in both the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities
Design of geotechnical structures in the temporary and permanent case
Design of civil and structural schemes and / or providing input into schemes designed by other disciplines
Reviews and checks of other schemes prepared by others
Carrying out inspections and surveys of geotechnical structures and preparing reports
Undertaking feasibility / option studies
Working with cognisance to project programmes
Providing guidance and training to more junior staff members where applicable
Requirements
Relevant (BSc, BEng or MEng) Engineering degree
Minimum 4 – 5+ years’ background in Geotechnical Engineering
Conversant with engineering software
Approaching chartership with a recognised body.
Ideally proactive, intuitive, and happy to work on your own initiative
Team player and interacting comfortably with the other staff members.
Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
On offer
Salary £33,000 – £44,000
25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays. Option to purchase up to 5 additional days’ holiday per year + your Birthday
