Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven geospatial analysis with coordinate systems and GIS techniques.
• Experience with EO data such as optical or SAR imagery.
• Strong Python and ML lifecycle experience: modelling, evaluation, iteration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve geospatial models and pipelines fusing AIS data with optical/SAR imagery to detect vessel behavior and anomalies.
• Apply computer vision techniques to satellite imagery for vessel detection, classification and attribution.
• Work with large-scale geospatial and time-series datasets to build and validate detection and prediction models.
• Take models from prototype through production, deploying on GCP with engineering collaboration.
• Investigate new data sources and methods to enhance maritime domain awareness.
• Communicate findings and model behavior clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
