Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking a Senior Engineer/Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project based in Southam, Warwickshire. You will undertake land, topographic, hydrographic and measured building surveys using robotics, 3D scanners and GNSS techniques.

Data will be analyzed with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre and GIS, with responsibilities including producing survey drawings, presenting findings to clients, and writing clear reports. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent.
• Experience within a similar role and with similar values.
• Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels and GNSS receivers.
• Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
• Good communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Solid report writing and compilation skills.
• Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Centre.

Responsibilities

• undertake land/topographic/hydrographic/measured building surveys using specialist equipment such as robotics and 3D scanners.
• analyze data using plans, maps, charts and GIS software (AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, GIS).
• prepare survey drawings with Senior Land Surveyor, present data to clients and write reports.
• coordinate with Site Engineers on project priority, plan changes or deviations, and with consultants for inspection & approval.
• set out and carry out topographical and engineering surveys (laser scanner).
• manage registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data; GNSS network surveying and precise leveling; drone surveys for earthwork measures.
