Job Title: Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer

With offices across the UK, our client specializes in site investigation projects for commercial, residential, highways, rail, and energy sectors.

Due to increased workload, our client is expanding the Northwest office. We are currently seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to work from their Greater Manchester office.

Job Description

You will be working on projects requiring good knowledge of relevant and up-to-date British Standards (e.g., BS EN 5930), Industry Guidance (e.g., EA LC:RM), and NHBC Standards. Responsibilities include managing projects, report writing (Phase 1 & 2), Coal Mining Risk Assessments, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports, and Geotechnical Assessments.

1. Supervision, reporting, and management of geo-environmental assignments.
2. Monitoring gas and groundwater levels and sampling groundwater.
3. Liaising with subcontractors and clients to assist project delivery.
4. Technical report writing, including Desk Studies and Ground Investigation Reports.
5. Understanding of Health and Safety requirements for ground investigations.
6. Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Proactive and independent thinker with enthusiasm for work.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. CSCS card, SSSTs or IOSH equivalent site supervisor certificate, First Aid training, Cat and Genny trained, Full UK Driving Licence.

Minimum of 5 years' experience, working towards chartership in a consultancy or contractor environment. Degree or HNC qualified.
