The Opportunity

You will be joining a well‑established consultancy working at the forefront of the built environment, delivering projects across multiple sectors for some of the world’s leading clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2 geoenvironmental reports
• Design, specification, and costing of ground investigation programmes
• Management of site investigations (including intrusive works)
• Technical input to remediation strategies and options appraisals
• Logging soils and rock to industry standards
• Laboratory scheduling and interpretation of geotechnical and environmental testing
• Production of high‑quality technical reports and risk assessments
• Data analysis and interpretation of complex datasets
• Client, stakeholder, and contractor liaison
• Supporting junior engineers through mentoring and technical guidance
• Contribution to engineering geology and foundation design input
• Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and HSE standards

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Working towards or achieved chartered status (Geological Society, CIWEM, CIEH or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant post‑graduate experience within consultancy or ground investigation
• Strong technical understanding of contaminated land and/or geotechnical engineering
• Experience managing site investigations and delivering technical reporting
• Strong analytical and report writing skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
