Tetra Tech, Inc. in Cardiff seeks a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to lead contaminated land, ground investigation and hydrogeological work across sectors.

Job description

Plan, manage and supervise ground investigations, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring, with relevant site accreditations such as First Aid certification, Cat and Genny training, SMSTS, SSSTS and CSCS advantageous.Good Communicator - clear and concise communications required with clients, suppliers and colleagues, both verbal and written forms. Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues. Data Interpretation, Reporting and Delivery - Undertake qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and communicate findings through clear, concise and technically robust reports. Issue deliverables on time Technical & Regulatory Knowledge - Apply current standards and guidance for ground investigations, supported by strong health, safety and environmental management awareness. Project Management Excellence - Adhere and comply with project management lifecycle. Understand project financial controls and methodologies.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

You'll hold a degree in geology, engineering geology, or a relevant environmental science discipline. A postgraduate qualification, such as a Master's, is desirable, as is progress towards Chartership with the Geological Society or another relevant professional body. Postgraduate industry experience, excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, sound technical knowledge and a full, preferably clean, driving licence are required. Candidate should be able to obtain security clearance if sponsored by Tetra Tech.

Working Environment Based in Cardiff, the role is expected to be approximately 20% site-based and 80% office-based, although this may vary according to workload. Flexible and hybrid working can be discussed where compatible with project and client requirements
