Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant, to join our thriving Geo team in our Southampton office.

We are also considering applications from London and the Home Counties.

The Team – Geo Team

Geo is a core discipline within Hydrock – its where we come from, with both our CEO and COO having a Geo background!

The Role:

As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and managing geo-environmental assignments, including desk studies, ground investigations (factual and interpretative), human health, groundwater and gas risk assessments, and the preparation of Remediation Method Statements. You will support the wider team, mentoring junior colleagues to develop their professional understanding. There will also be opportunities to assist with fee proposals and business development.

The role involves working in a leadership capacity within integrated project teams of specialists. You will review factual report information, undertake project management duties including client liaison and financial management such as invoicing, and prepare and check RAMS.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A BSc or higher qualification in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field, and a Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Relevant experience, ideally in ground investigation, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Strong skills in writing accurate, concise, and clear technical reports, reviewing work, assessing technical approaches, and ensuring compliance with guidance and client requirements.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
