Role Overview:

KPMG UK seeks a Senior GenAI Engineer to join our Data & AI team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and deployment of generative AI models, support client project delivery, and collaborate to drive impactful AI solutions. You will design AI systems, manage teams, and ensure effective integration of AI models into client environments while adhering to data governance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement generative AI models to solve client business challenges. Collaborate with senior AI engineers and data scientists to create AI solutions aligned with business goals. Participate in creating PoCs, MVPs, and full AI projects that deliver business impact.
2. Client Project Delivery & Team Management: Support AI solution delivery for client projects, ensuring successful and timely outcomes. Manage and mentor AI engineers and data scientists throughout project lifecycles. Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure smooth implementation.
3. Coding & Implementation: Develop and optimize AI models with high-quality, production-ready code. Use tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks, and Snowflake for deployment in cloud environments. Manage model integration, version control, and CI/CD processes.
4. Data Management & Integration: Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and management for AI development. Ensure AI models are integrated into data pipelines, maintaining data quality and adhering to governance, security, and privacy standards.
5. Business Development & Practice Building: Identify opportunities for AI solutions, support feasibility studies, and develop tailored data strategies. Contribute to RFP responses, proposals, and demos, showcasing AI value. Help grow KPMG’s AI practice with innovative ideas and solutions.
6. Ethical and Secure AI Deployment: Ensure AI models and data processing comply with KPMG’s policies and industry regulations. Implement best practices in data privacy, security, and ethical AI. Contribute to developing guidelines for secure data handling in AI projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant professional experience or certifications in AI/ML are advantageous.

• Work Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML, with experience in developing and deploying generative AI solutions. Proven experience with LLMs like GPT, BERT, or similar. Strong skills in AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
• Skills: Proficiency in designing and coding generative AI models, prompt engineering, understanding of AI/ML algorithms, deployment in cloud environments, version control, Docker, and data engineering tools. Excellent collaboration, leadership, and communication skills for mentoring junior team members.
