Job summary

Axle Informatics in London seeks a senior GCP Data Engineer to own the Finance Transformation data pipeline, building Workday and Oracle connectors and a unified data model. You will implement lineage graphs, real-time event capture, and REST API publishing to downstream systems.

The role requires deep expertise in GCP services, data extraction from Workday and Oracle, and the ability to guide domain analysts while delivering a production-grade data platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of GCP engineering experience with production pipelines.
• Experience extracting data from Workday using RaaS bulk export and REST APIs.
• Experience extracting data from Oracle Fusion Cloud REST APIs with SOAP fallback.
• Relational data model design in Cloud SQL for multiple reporting lenses.
• Strong data lineage implementation and REST API exposure to downstream apps.
• Experience delivering DirectQuery and Power BI integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a shared GCP native pipeline architecture.
• Build Workday and Oracle Finance connectors for real-time and bulk extraction.
• Maintain the unified Cloud SQL data model and join layer for three reporting lenses.
• Publish lineage definitions via REST API and enable continuous audit events.
• Guide domain analysts on architecture while ownership stays with domain teams.
• Ensure governance, security, and segregation of duties across pipelines.
