What You'll Do

In this dynamic role, you will:
Lead Investigations: Conduct detailed assessments and failure investigations of gas turbine components using state-of-the-art labs and advanced analysis tools.
Deliver Expert Insight: Provide trusted technical advice that helps clients improve performance, reliability, and risk management.
Communicate with Confidence: Prepare and deliver high-quality reports and presentations, clearly explaining complex engineering findings to varied audiences.
Travel with Purpose: Occasionally visit client sites in the UK and abroad to inspect equipment and deliver in-person consultancy.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for solving complex problems. You should have:

A degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (PhD or equivalent is a plus)
In-depth knowledge of gas or steam turbines and their materials
Experience in component assessments, failure investigations, and operational data analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A methodical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability
A full UK driving license (preferred)
Flexibility to travel internationally at short notice

Technical Expertise

You'll stand out if you also bring:

Deep understanding of turbine materials and their degradation in service
Experience with life assessments and failure mechanisms
Proven track record managing and delivering complex technical projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software
Precision and attention to detail in all aspects of your work
