Job summary

Capita plc is seeking a Gas Technical Support Officer to provide clear, practical technical guidance on gas safety and ACS matters. This on-site role supports registered businesses, stakeholders and the public by delivering accurate information and helping ensure compliance with gas industry standards.

You'll respond to enquiries, contribute to publications, stay updated on legislation, and support different Gas Safe Register departments.

Qualifications

• Eight years' experience working within the gas industry.
• ACS proof of competence.
• Broad knowledge of the gas industry and related technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone, written and email enquiries from stakeholders, providing clear and professional technical guidance.
• Provide information and advice on gas safety, associated building industries and ACS matters.
• Support other Gas Safe Register departments with accurate technical guidance to help ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Research, write, review and edit technical articles, publications and bulletins, ensuring information is accurate, consistent and easy to understand.
• Keep up to date with industry changes, technical standards and legislation so that advice remains current and reliable.
• Provide cover and support across technical areas when required, helping maintain high service standards.
• Promote Gas Safe Register positively across the gas industry, associated trades and the general public.
