Job description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Gas Detection Engineer to join our clients team!

Our client is a leading gas detection specialist looking to expand it's team with the appointment of a home-based Senior Engineer to support sites across the UK.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be required to provide technical support to field based engineers via the most appropriate means of support. Dependent upon the support required, this may be conducted via a phone call, video call or in person at the site facing the issue, hence the UK wide coverage.

You'll be an integral part of the team, someone who's knowledge and experience are valued and called upon when they are required.

Through this technical support, you'll be able to assist in developing a team/engineers, especially those engineers with lesser experience to be the best they can be.

Alongside the above, you'll also be required to:

  • Conduct site surveys
  • Assess new work plans
  • Assess new system opportunities
  • Assist with the project management from the first day to sign off
  • Prepare technical project plans
  • Liaise with the team as a whole to ensure projects are completed on time

Hours:

Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM.

Hours can be made flexible for the right candidate.

This role is home based.

You will be required to visits sites to conduct assessments or provide technical support as and when required, they may be anywhere in the UK but travel will be included during working hours with a company car and expenses provided.

Pay:

£46,000 - £52,000 per year, depending on experience.

Experience required:

Previous experience as a Gas Detection engineer with a similar / same job description as listed in this advert is essential.
