Your New Role…

Rocksteady Studios is looking to add to its family of permanent staff. We seek a collaborative and enthusiastic Senior Gameplay Programmer ready to support our development team in implementing and iterating gameplay more efficiently.

This role involves working on core gameplay systems, including combat and enemy AI, in our upcoming title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Take ownership of, evaluate, and re-architect existing gameplay systems to support upcoming project work.
  • Build and influence new shared gameplay systems, minimizing disruption to current pipelines.
  • Develop accessible system patterns and approaches to promote a consistent development process and reduce duplication.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, communicate technical concepts, and facilitate workflow.
  • Act as a consultant and troubleshooter, offering advice to improve development processes.
  • Proactively identify technical and workflow requirements, maintaining a solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Advanced understanding of C/C++.
  • Good grasp of game technology principles.
  • Experience in maintaining or creating gameplay systems for complex video games.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working with programmers, designers, artists, etc.
  • Professional experience with Unreal Engine 4.
  • Experience with networked gameplay systems.
