Join BULKHEAD as a Senior Animator and bring gameplay to life.
BULKHEAD is looking for a Senior Animator to join our team. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and driven team of Animators, Artists, Designers, and Engineers to create dynamic and immersive animations that elevate player experience—particularly in first-person shooter games.
In this role, you'll not only deliver top-tier animations but also take ownership of key features, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the strategic direction of animation on the project. You'll be part of a team that values creativity, iteration, and excellence in execution.
What You’ll be doing
Craft and implement high-quality animations using keyframe and/or motion capture.
Own key animation features and ensure they align with the game’s vision and style.
Collaborate closely with Leads, Directors, and multi-disciplinary teams to support gameplay and storytelling.
Lead by example—setting the standard for animation quality and guiding team members through mentorship and feedback.
Contribute to improving animation pipelines and workflows across the project.
Maintain consistent communication with Production and contribute to efficient planning and delivery.
What we need from you
A strong demo reel showcasing your animation work, ideally in first-person shooters or realistic styles.
4+ years of experience as an Animator in the games industry.
Excellent gameplay animation skills with a deep understanding of player feedback and combat dynamics.
Proficient in Maya and experienced with motion capture workflows.
Solid working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5 in a professional setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A relevant degree in Animation or equivalent professional experience.
Passion for video games and a drive to push creative boundaries.
The Game
You'll be working on Wardogs, an all-out-warfare multiplayer first person shooter. That means infantry combat, tank warfare, jet dog fighting, and artillery barrages. We play test the game twice a week, so you'll have lots of time to get stuck in and really be a part of the game you're creating.
