Job summary

Meeple Corp in Bath is seeking an experienced Game Designer to translate tabletop IPs into digital platforms, shaping UX, metagame systems, and brand alignment across titles. You will work with a small, collaborative team to bring high-profile board game experiences to life.

You will translate rules into engaging digital flows, lead playtests, ensure accessibility, and communicate decisions to cross-functional teams. Bath-based hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of game design experience, preferably with digital tabletop or IP-driven titles.
• Ability to independently translate physical tabletop rulesets and brand materials into engaging digital flows.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional teams.
• Awareness of accessibility, onboarding, and long-term engagement in digital platforms.
• Understanding of LLMs and how to use them in the game development pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Define intuitive game flows and UX structures for digital adaptations.
• Communicate system logic and UX solutions to the internal dev team.
• Translate tabletop mechanics into robust digital experiences.
• Design and document metagame systems and wireframes.
• Maintain accessibility, onboarding, and long-term engagement across platforms.
• Lead playtesting and critique the game state to remove friction.
