Job summary

Deutsche Bank in London is seeking a Senior Engineer for FX Technology to help drive a top-tier Prime Brokerage platform. You will shape high‑throughput FX systems, work across Java, Kotlin, C++, JavaScript and modern data stores, and contribute to scalable cloud/on-prem solutions.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive package, and a path to technical leadership within a global finance technology team.

Qualifications

• Experience developing software in Java, with the technical knowledge required to design, build and maintain applications.
• Experience designing high-load distributed systems and fault-tolerant applications, including knowledge of relevant algorithms.
• Good knowledge of Linux, understanding of containers and cloud solutions.
• People leadership experience is a big plus.
• Experience with modern SDLC tools (Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity).
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and workflows while considering responsible data use.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality using Java and Kotlin.
• Coordinate with BAs on quant, functional/non-functional requirements and delivery planning.
• Learn FX business areas to grow as SME.
• Design subsystems and intersystem protocols, guiding long-term platform vision.
• Investigate and fix production incidents, improving stability and monitoring.
