Job description

We are seeking a senior capital raising professional with a proven track record leading institutional fundraises across a diverse range of investor types. The role involves developing and executing a global fundraising strategy for a US$750M Global Shipping Fund, hiring and managing a high-performing international marketing team, actively engaging with key investors throughout the fundraising cycle, and leveraging market intelligence to refine investor targeting and enhance strategic positioning. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape and lead a flagship fundraise from inception, with significant visibility and impact within a growing, high-potential investment platform.

Lead Global Fundraising Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive capital raising plan for the inaugural ~$$750M fund, targeting a diverse mix of institutional investors globally.

Cultivate and Leverage Investor Relationships:
Utilize an established network across pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and family offices to secure commitments and build long-term investor partnerships.

Team Leadership and Regional Coordination:

Hire, manage, and mentor a small, high-performing marketing team based in the UK & Singapore ensuring alignment with the global capital raising strategy.

Support Key Investor Engagements:
Personally lead or support critical investor pitches and closings, particularly in strategic or high-value regions.

Market Intelligence and Strategic Positioning:
Monitor investor trends and competitor activity to refine fundraising strategy, strengthen market positioning, and enhance the firm’s appeal to target investor segments.

Job Knowledge and Experience

· Degree-qualified, ideally in Finance or Economics

· Senior marketer with 15+ years’ experience (player/coach style)

· Proven, auditable track record in institutional capital raising

· Deep, long-standing relationships with global investors, including public/corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, FoFs, and hedge FoFs

· Experience hiring and managing a lean team, with oversight of two regional marketers (UK – EMEA, Singapore – APAC)

· Hands-on involvement in key closing pitches; regional leads to drive localized investor engagement

· Background in Private Credit and/or Venture Capital is advantageous

· Experience with firms like KKR, BlackRock, or Blackstone is advantageous
