Job summary

Waystone in Exeter seeks a qualified accountant to join its growing fund administration team. You will manage accounting records for sizeable fund clients, review management accounts, and prepare financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP.

Strong communication, mentoring, and deadline discipline are essential. ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification (or finalist) and at least 3 years' experience are required, with proficiency in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or finalist status required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting techniques and principles (UK GAAP and IFRS).
• Minimum of 3 years strong accounting experience in a fund administration environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for large fund clients (assets in £100s of millions).
• Review monthly and quarterly management accounts and reports.
• Produce Board packs and attend Board meetings.
• Review NAV calculations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare half-year and annual financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff; ensure adherence to procedures and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Auditors, Tax Agents and external stakeholders.
