Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a qualified professional for its Private Equity Operations team in the UK. You will support the accounting processes for a large PE client portfolio, handling investments, valuations, reconciliations and client reporting.

Collaboration with Investment Advisor and internal teams is essential to meet client KPIs and deliverables. The role emphasizes strong client service, process knowledge, and teamwork within a flexible, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting or fund administration for PE, credit, or perpetual funds.
• Part qualification ACA or ACCA is desirable.
• Computer literacy with ability to learn new systems and processes.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Customer service oriented with focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide premier client service by building relationships with Investment Advisor and third parties.
• Develop knowledge of client bespoke requirements for key processes.
• Monitor assigned mailboxes and pro-actively complete tasks.
• Assist with on-the-job training and support team workloads.
• Investments: create/maintain investment and portfolio records in client systems; process purchases/disposals; monitor valuations.
• Accounting: book valuations, perform reconciliations, prepare invoice coding.
• Client reporting: prepare reports for senior management and deal teams.
• Investor reporting: respond to investor queries and prepare reports within deadlines.
• Organise Accounting Team deliverables and communicate proactively; identify system/process enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain accounts tracker; liaise with other departments; maintain client relationships.
