Overview

Our client is looking for a senior fund accountant to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a financial reporting manager. You will be responsible for the bookkeeping of a complex range of private equity funds, management companies and associated fund structures whilst liaising with clients and intermediaries. You will prepare periodic bank reconciliations and deal with the completion of routine audit queries. You will have the opportunity to act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff.


Responsibilities


  • Carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of the financial reporting manager.

  • Bookkeeping for a range of private equity funds, management companies and related structures; liaise with clients and intermediaries.

  • Prepare periodic bank reconciliations.

  • Respond to routine audit queries.

  • Mentor junior staff under supervision of senior staff (opportunity).


Qualifications


  • Studying towards a relevant professional qualification; ACCA professional level or ACA advanced level started.

  • Computer literacy: eFront and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts.
