Job summary

Alter Domus in the United Kingdom is seeking a seasoned PE Funds NAV professional to join the Private Equity team. You will ensure efficient end-to-end NAV processing, capital events, reviews, and sign-offs of work performed by Officers and junior staff.

Key duties include maintaining books, calculating NAVs, reviewing investor allocations, and supporting year-end audit timelines with the team. A strong accounting background in financial services is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Finance or Accounting.
• CA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 5–10 years' accounting experience in financial services (PE/Asset mgmt or fund admin).
• Familiarity with PE fund accounting (EMEA) and LUX GAAP an asset.
• Experience with eFront and PE fund structures is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, judgement and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and/or prepare financial statements and reports (performance metrics).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a member of thePrivate Equity team,you will be accountable for an efficient processing and review of end-to-end PE funds NAV, including capital events and specifically responsible for:

• Maintaining books and records and calculating fund Net Asset Values
• Reviewing and/or preparing NAV calculations and investor allocations for capital calls, distributions, equalizations and signing off on work performed by Officers/junior staff
• Reviewing and/or calculating carried interest/performance/incentive fees
• Reviewing and/or preparing financial statements and associated reports, including performance metrics
• Assist Assistant Managers to coordinate team to meet recurring and ad-hoc client deliverables, including year-end process with respect to audit timelines, financial statement preparation, regulatory filings, tax services etc
• Participating in projects/process optimization that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business
• Pro-actively take on additional responsibilities and administrational tasks as required by your managers or clients

YOUR PROFILE:

• You are bachelor’s/master’s level educated in a relevant area such Finance, Accounting
• Professional accounting qualification – CA, CMA, ACCA or similar is highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly in Private Equity, Asset Management or Fund Administration.
• A basic knowledge of accounting for investment products, experience of closed-ended funds in the private equity or debt space will be considered as an asset.
• Familiarity with fund accounting systems such as eFront tool and knowledge on PE EMEA fund structure along with LUX GAAP is an added advantage
• A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities
• Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills
• Technical Expertise: Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
• You possess team spirit, a capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction (when appropriate).
