About the company:

I am currently recruiting on behalf of an Automotive OEM, based in Leamington Spa, seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Deliver ISO 26262:2018 work products specified within the Functional Safety Plan for Items related to Assisted and Automated Driving.
2. Maintain all ISO 26262:2018 Work Products for assigned Items including Item Definition, HARAs, Functional Safety Concepts, and Functional Safety Requirements.
3. Own the development and execution of Integration, Verification, and Validation test specifications and other relevant documents/analyses.
4. Own the development of all planned ISO 26262:2018 work products up to and including the Item Safety Case.
5. Conduct technical discussions with suppliers and technical partners as required.

Qualifications / Skills Needed:

1. Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in functional safety within automated and assisted driving domains.
3. Experience creating ISO 26262:2018 Parts 3 and 4 work products, especially FSC/FSR, ITS/ITR, and SGVP/SGVR.
4. Experience in Integration, Verification of FSRs, and Safety Goal Validation.
5. Experience managing suppliers in accordance with a Development Interface Agreement.
