Job summary

Footium is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to take features from concept to production with ownership of the full development lifecycle, from architecture planning to MVP and launch readiness. You’ll refine, iterate, and fix bugs while keeping the product competitive and scalable.

You’ll also maintain and enhance features, quickly learning new tools and adapting in a fast-paced startup. The role requires onsite visits to our London office about once or twice per month under a hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and maintaining fullstack features for live user-facing products.
• Strong problem solving with an ability to iterate quickly in a fast-paced startup.
• Deep expertise in modern web tech: TS, React, NextJS, NodeJS, CSS and UI libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable fullstack features with TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS and NodeJS.
• Optimize front-end and back-end performance for a seamless user experience.
• Prototype quickly and translate ideas into working features.
• Implement and maintain design systems and UI frameworks (ChakraUI, Tailwind).
• Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs for data efficiency.
• Deploy containers with Docker and contribute to CI/CD workflow.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer who can take features from concept

to production with confidence.

You’ll have the real opportunity to own the full development lifecycle. Including planning the technical architecture to building an MVP, refining it through iteration, tackling the odd bug, and ensuring we’re ready for launch!

You'll also play a key role in maintaining and enhancing features to keep our product at their best, with a curiosity-driven mindset to pick up new tools and skills quickly.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and accessible fullstack features using TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS, and NodeJS.
  
• Optimise front-end and back-end performance to ensure a seamless experience for our users.
  
• Ability to problem solve and quickly create awesome prototypes and user based solutions.
  
• Implement and maintain our design systems, component libraries and UI frameworks (e.g. ChakraUI, Tailwind).
  
• Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs to improve data efficiency and performance.
  
• Deploy containers using Docker, contributing to a smooth CI/CD workflow. Open to learning new technologies and best practices as the business evolves.
  

Ideally we’re looking for:

• Experience working on live, user-facing products.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset and the ability to iterate quickly.
  
• Deep expertise in modern web development technologies: TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS, and NodeJS.
  
• Experience working with CSS, component libraries and design systems (ChakraUI, Tailwind or similar).
  
• Some knowledge of GraphQL for API development and integration.
  
• Proficiency with Docker and containerisation.
  
• A continuous learning mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
