Join to apply for the Senior Full Stack Software Developer role at Videalert.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent role working remotely with some occasional travel required.

Marston Holdings is expanding, and part of our growth includes our Technology division, which encompasses Videalert and Vortex. We are the UK’s leading supplier of intelligent traffic enforcement and management solutions, as well as a provider of smart city solutions that optimize productivity and reduce operational costs. Our environmental sensors, networks, and data solutions support decarbonisation efforts globally, leveraging real-time data and cleantech technologies to drive environmental change.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, code, and implement software solutions, mainly focusing on our full stack application suite, data pipelines, and bespoke in-house software applications.
• Engage in hands-on research, development, and deployment of software.
• Collaborate with other engineers and developers, providing technical input and working alongside testing, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Participate in work breakdown and scheduling for cross-functional development, including backend software, system integration, database management, and cloud development.
• Maintain and update the code base.
• Contribute to the software development lifecycle for backend, frontend, and cloud services.
• Support quality control processes for software releases.

What We Are Looking For

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in computing or related fields.
• Experience developing end-user applications using C/C++/C#/Java.
• Strong understanding of databases and SQL.
• Experience in developing and maintaining full stack software, cloud services, and monolithic applications.
• Familiarity with databases, GUIs, REST APIs, Docker, Virtual Machines, and network protocols for application integration.
• Experience leading cross-functional R&D, including UI, databases, authentication, and service reliability.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure in Azure and Amazon Cloud services.
