Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape a brand-new product, using Node.js, TypeScript and React to build a modern cloud-native platform. You will work with the CTO to influence architecture and deliver high-impact features, including AI-powered capabilities and serverless infrastructure.

Based in Bristol with the option to work from home most of the time, you’ll join a small, experienced team and own critical components from day one, with strong progression as the company

Qualifications

• Strong Full Stack development with Node.js, TypeScript and React.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and cloud-native applications.
• Experience setting up serverless architectures with Azure or AWS.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems and building event-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor or Claude.
• Comfort working in collaborative, startup-style environments with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern cloud-native platform and APIs.
• Lead backend services, integrations and cloud infrastructure, with frontend contributions.
• Establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines and architectural decisions with CTO.
• Develop infrastructure as code and event-driven integrations.
• Collaborate with team to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality and security.
