Job summary

The Vanguard Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development and optimisation of front office applications within the GIFS team. The role requires collaboration with portfolio managers and product owners to deliver high-quality software across front-end and back-end systems.

The position is hybrid, with three days in the London office (Tue, Wed, Thu), and offers opportunities to work with modern tech stacks including Vue.js, React, Java, Python,

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent with strong software background.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, and implements applications and databases.
• Integrates third-party products.
• Ensures application performance and delivery viability.
• Recommends design/build/buy options and vendor selections.
• Conducts testing for functionality, limitations, and security.
• Migrate code to development, test, and production environments on schedule.
• Mentors and trains staff with less experience.
• Resolves issues and suggests enterprise-wide improvements.
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections to identify issues.
• Explains technical considerations in meetings with internal clients.
• Performs systems analysis and understands client business needs.
• Keeps up-to-date with Vanguard’s technologies and tools.
• Interfaces with cross-functional teams and communicates issues effectively.
• Adheres to IT and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects.
