Job summary

Fluxstride is seeking a senior engineer to lead the build of web platforms, client portals, and APIs. You will shape what gets built by collaborating with designers from the initial workshop and making the technical decisions.

You’ll speak with the client weekly, own the technical direction, and see your work through to production. Expect a craft-focused, remote-first environment with strong emphasis on testing and architecture.

Qualifications

• Six or more years building and shipping web products.
• Proficient in TypeScript and React; backend experience.
• Strong architectural judgement and simplicity.
• Clear writing and ability to explain trade-offs to non-engineers.

Job description

You’ll lead the build on two or three client projects a year: web platforms, customer portals and the APIs behind them. You’ll work alongside our designers from the first workshop, so you shape what gets built as much as how.

There are no project managers between you and the client. You’ll talk to their team every week, make the technical calls and see your work in production. See our work for the kind of projects you’d join.

• Good judgement on architecture, and the sense to keep it simple
• Clear writing and a calm way of explaining trade-offs to non-engineers
