A growing clean-tech company in Manchester is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead development and optimize web applications. You will create scalable solutions using React, Next.js, and Node.js while collaborating with design and engineering teams. The role offers autonomy in a mission-driven environment, with a focus on innovation and growth in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of back-end development and API design.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, agile team.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Design and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs.
• Lead architectural decisions across the full stack.
• Own features end-to-end from planning through to production.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers.
• Align technical solutions with business needs.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of full lifecycle development — from architecture and design through to deployment and optimisation. You’ll be working across both the front and back end, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to build products that directly impact the future of energy.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role with real autonomy and room to grow.
