Started in 2021, Coram.AI is building the best business AI video system on the market. Powered by next-generation video artificial intelligence, we deliver unprecedented insights and a 10x better user experience than the incumbents of the vast but stagnant video security industry.

Our customers range from warehouses, schools, hospitals, hotels, and many more, and we are growing rapidly. We are looking for someone to join our team to help us scale our systems to meet user demand and to ship new features.

The role

We are looking for someone to help us grow our system to meet user demand. Our stack spans many technologies (front-end, backend, edge computing), and you will be responsible for a large part of our front-end and backend stack.

This involves:

• Designing and implementing new backend APIs and collaborating with the edge team.
• Implementing user-facing front-end interfaces and working with the product team.
• Ensuring the system can scale and has full observability.
• Delivering high-quality features, testing thoroughly, and debugging issues.
• This is a 5-day-a-week in-office role.

Requirements and experience we are looking for

• 3+ years of industry experience and building systems of reasonable scale.
• Familiarity and experience with our main backend technologies.
• Knowledge of either Python or Go.
• Experience with databases such as Postgres and Redis.
• Familiarity and experience with front-end technologies (TypeScript, React, react-query, build tools, React component libraries).
• Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
• Infrastructure-as-code solutions (we use Pulumi over AWS).
• Platform engineering (C++) or video streaming (bonus but not required).
• High intrinsic motivation and ability to work hard.
