Qualifications

Job description

Our Senior Full Stack Engineers will be crucial to the evolution of MarTrust’s delivery and products. They will form part of our new Technology function, building scalable, reliable systems that deliver great outcomes for our customers. The Senior Full Stack engineers will be part of our cross functional engineering teams, owning delivering and enhancing our solutions end to end. While being strong team players, our engineers will still be capable of operating independently, taking individual problems and owning them to completion, able to unblock themselves and their team.

Deliver and support high quality software:

Be part of a cross functional squad with responsibility to design, architect, implement, deploy and maintain the services that run our payroll, supplier payment and e-wallet systems.

Expertise and collaboration:

Develop expertise in both payments and maritime industries, effectively collaborate with staff from across the business (sales, operations, compliance) in order to solve problems for customers.

Continuous improvement:

Following and advocating for best coding practices, continuous delivery and quality reviews.

Performance and reliability:

Develop and track metrics that show the performance and reliability of our systems in order to service the critical needs of our customers.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field may be positive indicator
  • At least 5 years professional experience in full stack development with independent ownership of complex problems
  • Experience in financial services, fintech or banking products a positive
  • Independent worker - Confident taking full ownership of a problem and working independently, whilst also being a good team player
  • Strong product mindset – able to take ambiguous problems and identify root cause and appropriate solution
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Familiar with many of the following: CI/CD pipelines, immutable infrastructure, containers and serverless architectures.
  • Specific experience in our tech stack is not required, but the candidate would need to be confident to be able to pick up quickly:
  1. Typescript
  2. Svelte
  3. AWS Serverless
