Full Stack Engineer – Agentic AI-Powered FinTech

Location: London/Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Up to £130,000 per annum plus stock options

Senior Full Stack Engineer - We’re partnering with a well-funded, cutting-edge startup that’s redefining how professionals in the financial services industry interact with artificial intelligence. They’re building intelligent agentic tools that don’t just automate tasks, but collaborate with human analysts to generate insights, drive decisions and transform workflows.

This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who’s eager to work on ambitious, meaningful problems at the intersection of AI, UI/UX innovation, and financial software. You’ll help build a dynamic and responsive tech stack that supports real-time, context-aware interaction between humans and AI agents — a space that's growing fast and ripe for innovation.

What’s the opportunity?

As part of a small, senior-led product and engineering team, the Senior Full Stack Engineer will:

Architect and implement responsive, AI-enabled interfaces using React, NextJS, and TypeScript
Develop robust backend services with Node.js, connecting to external financial data and AI tools
Contribute to database design, DevOps workflows, and end-to-end performance
Collaborate directly with founders and product stakeholders on feature design, architecture, and UX experimentation
Explore and implement emerging patterns in AI-powered interfaces and real-time interactions

This Full Stack Engineer role combines technical depth with creative ownership, offering the chance to shape the product and stack from the ground up.

What skills will the Full Stack Engineer have?

They’re searching for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a breadth of experience:

Core Requirements:

Strong frontend expertise in React, NextJS, and modern tooling (Tailwind, etc.)
Solid backend skills with Node.js, Express, RESTful APIs or GraphQL
Experience building production-grade applications and designing clean data models (SQL/NoSQL)

Bonus Points For:

Familiarity with AI/LLM tools (LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI APIs)
Experience building real-time apps (e.g., WebSockets)
Understanding of authentication/authorization flows in web apps
Knowledge of financial services, fintech, or enterprise-grade products
